Not only are there two EGOS sub-themes that explicitly invite contributions by strategy-as-practice scholares – one on “Cognition, Emotions & Strategizing” and one on “Practicing Openness in Innovation, Strategy and Beyond” – but there will also be a Strategy-as-Practice Community Day at EGOS.
The Community Day will take place on Wednesday, July 1st and covers a morning and an afternoon session, for which you can register separately. In the morning session, there will be two expert panels about hot topics in SAP research and publishing SAP related work. These sessions will be held by guiding figures in the SAP field: Richard Whittington, Paula Jarzabkowski, Julia Balogun and David Seidl. The afternoon session will cover expert roundtable discussions on six core SAP related themes. Martha Feldman, Linda Rouleau, Paul Spee, David Oliver, Feng Liu and Steward Clegg will give hands-on advices on Routines, Materiality, Identity, Emotions and Power.
In addition, there will be two open sessions (each 45 minutes), for which the organizers still invite suggestions. Ideas for such a session should be sent to Paul Spee (p.spee@business.uq.edu.au) or any other member of the 2015 Organizing Team, which comprises of Jane Lê, Virpi Sorsa, Paul Spee, Violetta Splitter and Mike Zundel.
